Google Calendar
Coming soon
Let assistants list your upcoming events so they can plan around them. Coming soon: creating an event waits for your Approve.
On this page
Google Calendar lets an assistant see what is coming up, so it can plan around your meetings, suggest a time, and prepare you for the day.
At a glance#
| Category | Mail and calendar |
| Status | Coming soon |
| Used by | Accountant, Marketing, Legal, Product owner (all Coming soon) |
What assistants can do#
| Ability | How it runs |
|---|---|
| List upcoming events | Reads on its own |
| Create events | Waits for your Approve |
Setup (when it opens)#
- In Google's developer console, create access for your calendar with the permissions listed below, and copy the access token. If you already set up Gmail or Google Drive, you can reuse that access.
- Open Integrations and pick Google Calendar.
- Paste the token and press Connect.
- Leave event creation off until you want it.
Permissions#
In plain words, the access needs to:
- Read your calendar events.
- Create events, only if you will allow it.
Read-only access is enough for planning and daily briefs.
Good to know#
- Creating an event is off by default. Even when you allow it, each event waits for your Approve, unless your house rules say otherwise.
- Assistants list events. They do not change or delete the ones you already have.
- Your token stays with your StellarFirm workspace and is never shown back to you. The page shows only that it is connected.
Prompts#
PromptPlan the week Product owner, list this week's events and propose a one-hour review. Do not create the event until I Approve.
PromptMorning brief Accountant, list today's events and tell me which ones need a document from you.
