Coming soon
Mention your assistants in a Discord server or message them directly. Coming soon, with a token from your own Discord application.
On this page

What assistants can do#
| Ability | How it runs |
|---|---|
| Receive mentions and direct messages | Reads on its own |
| Reply in the same channel | Reads on its own |
Setup (when it opens)#
- In the Discord developer portal, create an application and copy its token.
- Invite the application to your server with the permissions listed below.
- Find your Discord user id, so only you can send instructions.
- Open Integrations and pick Discord, paste the token and your user id, and press Connect.
Permissions#
Invite the application with just these permissions:
- View Channels, so it can see where it was mentioned.
- Send Messages, so it can reply.
- Read Message History, so it can follow a conversation.
You can limit it to specific servers, and only the user ids you list are answered.
Good to know#
- Approve and Reject buttons are in Slack, not Discord. Until Slack opens, approve on the Approvals page.
- Your StellarFirm workspace connects out to Discord, so you do not need to open any address on your side.
- Your token stays with your StellarFirm workspace and is never shown back to you. The page shows only that it is connected.
- Use a private server or a private channel. Anyone who can read the channel can read the replies.
