Translate
Help StellarFirm speak your language.
StellarFirm gives you AI Agents, Agentic Assistants for your work. Volunteers translate the screens that have moved into StellarFirm's shared catalogs, and more screens join over time. A native speaker reviews each language before any customer sees it.
The translation project opens soon. You can already see the tracks, the languages and how review works below.
What you would translate
What StellarFirm is
StellarFirm gives you AI Agents, Agentic Assistants for your work. You are the CEO: you set the goal, and an AI Agent Assistant such as the Coder, Marketing or the Executive assistant does the work. Anything an assistant would send, publish or deploy waits for your Approve.
There are two more editions of the same product. StellarFirm for Universities is made for professors, with lessons, courses and students. StellarFirm for Scientists is made for labs, with experiments and folders for notes, data and results.
How it works
How translating works
1
Make a free Tolgee account
Translation happens in Tolgee, a tool for translating software. Signing up is free, and you can sign in with GitHub or Google. Tolgee's terms say its service is for business users and not for consumers, so contribute as part of your work or studies, and only if you are 18 or older.
2
Open a track and pick your language
The editor shows the English sentence next to your language, so you translate whole sentences with their context.
3
Suggest and comment
Type your translation as a suggestion. You can also comment on other suggestions and ask questions. Everyone can read them, so keep them to the words.
4
A reviewer accepts
Each language gets a native speaker as its reviewer; until one is found, suggestions wait. The reviewer accepts the best suggestion and marks it reviewed. Words that are not reviewed never ship.
5
Reviewed words ship in a release
Reviewed translations are collected into a change that goes out with a StellarFirm release. A language is offered to customers when its reviewer has signed it off and every catalog word has a reviewed translation.
6
Some languages may start from a draft
Where a machine draft is in Tolgee, you correct it instead of writing from nothing. A draft is never shown to customers until its reviewer has approved it.
Tracks
Pick a track
The words are in one project, split into three tracks. One Tolgee account is enough for all of them, and the language rows below open the track you pick.

Style
Style rules and glossary
Follow these rules in every language. The glossary lists the words to keep the same everywhere, with the Greek rendering where there is one.
Style rules
- Write StellarFirm as one word, exactly like that, in every language. It is a name, so it is never translated.
- Every assistant is an AI Agent Assistant, and running text may say assistant for short. Use one rendering and keep it.
- Never call an assistant a machine, an automated program or a chat program, or any word your language uses for those; it is an AI Agent Assistant.
- Leave out money: no amount, no currency sign and no word about paying or shopping.
- Translate whole sentences. Never swap single words inside a sentence, because gender, case and word order change around them.
- Keep every {placeholder} and every <tag> exactly as written, and write every plural form your language needs.
- Use the formal you where your language has one.
- Never write an em dash or an en dash. Use a comma, a colon or a full stop instead.
- Approve is the one word on the button that lets an assistant go ahead, and every sentence that points at it uses the same word.
- Use the editions' words as the glossary says: Professor, Lesson and Course in StellarFirm for Universities, Experiment in StellarFirm for Scientists. Never swap a word of one edition into a sentence of another.

Reviewers
Review a language
Each language gets one reviewer, a native speaker who works or studies at a university or a lab; until one is found, suggestions wait. The reviewer opens the Review queue link in their language's row above to see what waits: only the keys with a suggestion, across all three tracks. They accept the best suggestion with Accept and decline others, mark it reviewed, and only reviewed words ship. If that is you, write to us with your language and where you work or study.
Before you suggest
Translating is volunteer work. By suggesting a translation you accept the contributor terms: your work becomes ours, we may name you in a list of contributors if you ask, and you only ever see the words of the product, never a customer's data. You must be 18 or older and contribute as part of your work or studies, because Tolgee's own terms are for business users. Nothing else is promised.
