An AI agent platform with a desktop app and an MCP server for developers
StellarFirm is an AI agent platform with a desktop app and a public MCP server for developers. The desktop app for Mac and Windows, in early access, can run your AI Agents on your own computer. The MCP server at https://stellarfirm.ai/mcp lets another AI agent read about StellarFirm with no sign-in. It is read only, so it does not run your assistants and it approves nothing.
What developers get
| Surface | What it is | Who it is for | What it can do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Desktop app | StellarFirm for Mac (Intel and Apple silicon) and Windows, in early access | People who want assistants to work on their own computer | Runs your assistants on this computer, or on StellarFirm cloud |
| MCP server | https://stellarfirm.ai/mcp, Streamable HTTP, no sign-in | AI agents and MCP clients | Read only tools: get_stellarfirm_overview, list_use_cases, get_use_case, search_docs, get_waitlist_link |
| Public API | OpenAPI 3.1 at https://stellarfirm.ai/openapi.json | Developers | Public routes need no sign-in, account routes need a signed-in session, and every error is JSON |
| Files for agents | https://stellarfirm.ai/llms.txt, https://stellarfirm.ai/agents.md and Markdown copies of the pages | AI agents reading the site | Say when to use StellarFirm and how to call it |
Connect an AI agent
1
Add the server
Point your MCP client at https://stellarfirm.ai/mcp. It uses Streamable HTTP and needs no sign-in.
2
Start with the overview
Call get_stellarfirm_overview first. It says what StellarFirm is and what is available today.
3
Read more
list_use_cases, get_use_case and search_docs read the public content.
4
Send the person to the waitlist
get_waitlist_link returns the link. The person joins themselves: no tool signs anyone up.

Questions
- Can the MCP server run my assistants?
- No. It is read only, over public content. Your assistants run in the app, and anything that sends, deploys, publishes or charges waits for your Approve.
- Do I need to sign in?
- Not for the MCP server or the public API routes. The app needs an account, and accounts start from a waitlist invitation.
- Is the desktop app generally available?
- No. The desktop app is in early access. It is a pre-release, and it is not generally available. Join the waitlist to get in.
- Which assistants are available?
- The Coder is the AI Agent Assistant available today. Other assistants are planned and are not available yet.
