# Recruiting

> Coming soon. Recruiting turns an open role into a hiring plan, a job description, and an interview plan, with every send and calendar hold behind Approve.

Status: Coming soon

> [!SOON]
> Recruiting is Coming soon. This page describes what it will do when it opens, so you can plan ahead. Today the [Coder](/docs/personas/coder) is the one available persona.

Recruiting is the assistant that helps you hire. It writes the hiring plan, the job description, and the interview plan, and it screens resumes against the must-haves you set. You decide the bar, the offer, and who moves forward. In chat, address it as "Recruiting," or `@recruiting`.

## What it will do

- Write a hiring plan: must-haves, the interview steps, and who decides.
- Draft a job description you can publish. It does not post the role.
- Screen resumes you provide: yes, no, or maybe, with a reason.
- Plan the interviews and prepare the people in the room.
- Prepare you when you are the one being interviewed, from facts you gave.
- Draft one follow-up to one candidate. It does not run a mail campaign.

## Skills

| Skill | What it will do, in plain words |
| --- | --- |
| Hiring plan | The first win. Turns an open role into must-haves, interview steps, and who decides. |
| Job description | Drafts a job description from the hiring plan. You publish it. |
| Resume screen | Marks each resume yes, no, or maybe against the must-haves, with a reason. |
| Interview plan | Lists the steps, the owners, and the questions. |
| Interview prep | Prepares the hiring team, or prepares you when you are the one being interviewed. |
| Candidate follow-up | Drafts one note to one candidate. Sending waits for Approve. |

More skills arrive from StellarFirm's skill library without an app update, such as an offer checklist, a hiring scorecard, a reference check plan, and a first-week plan. The skills above stay available even when the library cannot be reached.

## Example goals

- Hire a product designer this quarter.
- Turn the open role into a job description I can publish.
- Screen the resumes I saved and tell me who to interview.
- Prepare me for tomorrow's interview.

## Prompts for when it opens

```prompt title="Write a hiring plan"
Recruiting, write a hiring plan for [role]. List the must-haves, the interview steps, and who decides. Do not post the role.
```

```prompt title="Write a job description"
Recruiting, write a job description for [role] from the hiring plan. Leave compensation out unless I gave it.
```

```prompt title="Screen resumes"
Recruiting, screen the resumes in [folder] against the must-haves. Mark each yes, no, or maybe, with a reason. Do not contact anyone.
```

```prompt title="Prepare for interviews"
Recruiting, prepare me for tomorrow's interview. Use only the facts I gave you.
```

## What it never does

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Every write waits for your Approve. Recruiting does not email a candidate, hold time on the calendar, or save a file until you say so.

It never invents compensation, headcount, or a start date. It never emails a batch of candidates. Contract-shaped offer text goes to Legal. A new hire's first week goes to the Executive assistant as a brief.
