# TikTok

TikTok is where short vertical videos find new viewers. Once you connect your account, Marketing can read your public videos and their numbers, and send a finished video to your TikTok inbox as a draft that you finish and post in the app.

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In TikTok for Developers, create an app and add **Login Kit** and the **Content Posting API**, with the `user.info.basic`, `video.list`, `video.upload`, and `video.publish` scopes.
2. Sign in once as the creator and keep the refresh token. It lasts a year.
3. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) and pick **TikTok**.
4. Paste the client key, the client secret, and the refresh token, switch on the live option, and press **Connect**.

## Permissions

- **Read** your profile and public videos, so Marketing can see what worked.
- **Upload** to your inbox, so a draft is waiting for you in the app.
- **Publish** directly, only once TikTok has audited your app.

## Good to know

- By default a video goes to your TikTok inbox. You add sounds, check it, and post it yourself in the app.
- Until TikTok audits your app, direct posts can only be private, and only to a private account. That is why drafts are the default.
- TikTok limits how many posts a creator makes a day across every app, and how many drafts wait in the inbox.
- TikTok lists only your public videos, so private ones do not show up in what Marketing reads.
