# Similarweb

> Let Marketing and Sales read website traffic, traffic sources, rankings, and audiences from Similarweb. Read only. Coming soon.

Status: Coming soon

Similarweb estimates how many people visit a website, where they come from, and who they are. Once you connect it, Marketing can compare your site with competitors and Sales can size up an account before a call.

> [!SOON]
> The Similarweb integration is Coming soon. This page describes how it will work. The integrations open at launch are GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.

## Which assistants use it

| Assistant | Status |
| --- | --- |
| [Marketing](/docs/personas/marketing) | Coming soon |
| [Sales](/docs/personas/sales) | Coming soon |

## What assistants can do

Similarweb connects through the tool's own hosted connector, and it is read only.

| Ability | How it runs |
| --- | --- |
| Read website traffic and engagement | Reads on its own |
| Compare traffic sources, audiences, and rankings | Reads on its own |

## Setup (when it opens)

1. A Similarweb account admin opens **Settings**, then **Account**, then **Data Tools**, then **REST API** in Similarweb.
2. Generate a key and make sure it is switched on.
3. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm and pick Similarweb.
4. Paste the key, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

## Permissions

- Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing here changes data.
- Your Similarweb plan needs API access, and each call draws on its data allowance.
- Revoke the key in Similarweb whenever you want to cut access.

## Prompts to try

```prompt title="Traffic sources"
Marketing, compare our website's traffic sources with our three closest competitors over the last six months and tell me where they win.
```

```prompt title="Size an account"
Sales, how much traffic does [company]'s website get, and from which countries? Use it to size the deal.
```
