Semrush is an SEO and search marketing tool. Once you connect it, Marketing can read keyword, ranking, backlink, and competitor reports and use them in SEO briefs and content plans instead of guessing.

## What assistants can do

Semrush connects through the tool's own hosted connector, and it is read only.

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In Semrush, open your profile, then **My profile**, then the page for keys.
2. Create a key with **Read-only** permission and copy it. It shows once.
3. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm and pick Semrush.
4. Paste the key, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

## Permissions

- Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing here changes data.
- Your Semrush plan needs API units, and each report uses them. Ask for a focused report to keep the count low.
- Revoke the key in Semrush whenever you want to cut access.

## Good to know

- Name the site, the country, and the topic.
- Marketing says where every number came from and never invents search volumes or rankings.
