# Linear

> Let assistants list Linear issues and draft new ones. Coming soon: creating an issue waits for your Approve.

Status: Coming soon

Linear is where your team's issues live. Connect it and assistants can read your backlog, then write up a new issue with acceptance criteria when a bug or idea turns up.

## At a glance

| Category | Issue tracking |
| Status | Coming soon |
| Used by | Coder, Product owner (only the Coder is available now) |

## What assistants can do

| Ability | How it runs |
| --- | --- |
| List issues | Reads on its own |
| Create issues | Waits for your Approve |

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In Linear, create a personal token that can read and create issues.
2. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) and pick **Linear**.
3. Paste the token and press **Connect**.
4. Tell the assistant which team to use, as the team key (for example "ENG").

## Permissions

In plain words, the token needs to:

- **Read** issues on your team.
- **Create** issues, so assistants can file what they find.

It does not need to delete issues or manage members.

## Good to know

- Creating an issue waits for your Approve, unless your [house rules](/docs/ceo/house-rules) allow it.
- Assistants work against one default team, which you choose.
- Your token stays with your StellarFirm workspace and is never shown back to you. The page shows only that it is connected.

## Prompts

```prompt title="Triage the backlog"
Product owner, list the open issues on the default team and tell me which three matter most this week.
```

```prompt title="File a ticket"
Product owner, draft a ticket for [bug] with acceptance criteria. Wait for my Approve before creating it.
```

```prompt title="Pick up an issue"
Coder, read Linear issue [id] and outline how you would fix it. Do not change any code yet.
```
