# Fireflies

> Let the Executive assistant and Sales read your Fireflies meeting transcripts, summaries, and action items to write recaps and follow-ups. Coming soon.

Fireflies records and transcribes your meetings. Once you connect it, your assistants can read what was said, so a call turns into a recap, a list of action items with owners, and a follow-up draft without you taking notes.

## What assistants can do

Fireflies connects through Fireflies' own hosted server.

| Read transcripts and summaries | Reads on its own |
| Read action items | Reads on its own |
| Change or delete a meeting | Never run from chat |

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In Fireflies, open **Settings**, then **Developer settings**, and copy your key.
2. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm and pick Fireflies.
3. Paste the key, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

## Permissions

- The assistants read what your own Fireflies account can see: your meetings and the ones shared with you.
- Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing is changed from chat. Sending the follow-up mail an assistant drafts from a transcript waits for your Approve.
- Make a new key in Fireflies whenever you want to cut access. The old one stops working.

## Good to know

- Name the meeting or the date. "Yesterday's call with [company]" finds the right transcript faster than "my last call".
- Recaps say who said what only when it matters for an action item.
