# Buffer

Buffer schedules and publishes posts to your social channels. Once you connect it, Marketing can read what is queued, which posts did best, and the ideas you saved, and plan the next posts from them.

## What assistants can do

Buffer connects through the tool's own hosted connector, and it is read only.

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In Buffer, open **Settings**, then **API**, and create a new key. Copy it.
2. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm and pick Buffer.
3. Paste the key, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

## Permissions

- Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing here changes data. Nothing is posted from chat.
- The key covers your whole Buffer account: every organization and channel.
- Revoke the key in Buffer whenever you want to cut access.
