# Apollo.io

> Let Sales search Apollo.io for people and companies and read your contacts, deals, and sequences to build prospect lists. Read only. Coming soon.

Status: Coming soon

Apollo.io is a database of companies and the people who work there, with tools for outreach. Once you connect it, Sales can find the companies and people that match your ideal customer and build a short, ranked list of who to approach next.

> [!SOON]
> The Apollo.io integration is Coming soon. This page describes how it will work. The integrations open at launch are GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.

## Which assistants use it

| Assistant | Status |
| --- | --- |
| [Sales](/docs/personas/sales) | Coming soon |

## What assistants can do

Apollo.io connects through Apollo's own hosted server.

| Ability | How it runs |
| --- | --- |
| Search people and companies | Reads on its own |
| Read contacts and accounts | Reads on its own |
| Read deals and sequences | Reads on its own |
| Add contacts to a sequence or send outreach | Never run from chat |

## Setup (when it opens)

1. In Apollo, open **Settings**, then **Integrations**, and choose **API**.
2. Create a new key and turn on **Set as master key**. A key limited to some endpoints does not work here.
3. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm and pick Apollo.io.
4. Paste the master key, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

## Permissions

- The master key reaches everything your Apollo account can reach. Make it from an account whose data you are happy to share with your assistants.
- Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing is sent or changed from chat. Outreach stays with you.
- Enriching a contact uses your Apollo plan's allowance. Ask for a short, focused list to keep the count low.
- Delete the key in Apollo whenever you want to cut access.

## Good to know

- Describe your ideal customer: industry, region, company size, and the roles you sell to. "Heads of operations at logistics companies in Germany with 50 to 200 people" beats "some leads".
- Sales says where every name came from and never invents a contact or an email address.

## Prompts to try

```prompt title="Build a prospect list"
Sales, find heads of operations at logistics companies in Germany with 50 to 200 people in Apollo.io and give me a ranked shortlist of ten.
```

```prompt title="Check a sequence"
Sales, which contacts in our [sequence] sequence in Apollo.io have not replied yet? Read only.
```
